Default Address settings 
Before Spammers hit the scene and the web community was reasonably safe it was possible to nominate a 'Default Address' for all email to go to.
For most people they only ever needed one email account, where the default address was used to capture any other email address like sales or admin.
Now the web has entered a different phase where spammers try any email name, which makes a default email address 'Dangerous' now.
With the volume of SPAM it's best to set your default address to Discard emails
You can personalise the message or accept the default message which is sent back to the person who sent the email.
